Plato said that in order for a subject to think of a given object, the subject must represent that object just as it is, without inaccuracy or distortion.
Sometimes, in a very particular state of mind and also provably thanks to an external input, the world seams to show up as it is. The brain gets a view of Truth that goes inside you as a flash of cleaning light.
Epiphanies are the orgasms of the mind and fortunately they linger on, at least on me.
“Heiwa” is a photograph taken in 2020 in an abandoned monastery in central Italy. This image takes me back to a place where I can induce epiphanies, a place where I can make my neurons glow for a bit. This allows me to see and think about objects and people under a very clear light, and see them truly for the first time.
